# Success story: Health Department of the Canton of Zurich

The [Zurich Health Department](https://www.zh.ch/de/gesundheitsdirektion.html) required an integrated platform for data collection and communication for hospitals. PrimeSoft developed the SDEP (Hospital Data Collection Platform), a central web solution that eliminates redundant data, automates processes and simplifies communication. The result: increased efficiency, reduced maintenance and clear responsibilities.

## Initial situation

The Zurich Health Department previously used several separate software solutions for data collection and verification. This led to redundant data, time-consuming consistency checks, and complex communication processes. Employees had to transfer data manually and coordinate various updates, which was very time-consuming. The goal was to create a central platform that would simplify processes, consolidate data and establish clear responsibilities.

> „PrimeSoft developed the software incredibly quickly, competently, and reliably.“

*Stefan Neubert*

Former Head of Data Analysis, Zurich Health Department

## Benefits of the new solution for customers

- no redundant data
- efficient processes and fewer communication loops
- no local installation required
- reduced maintenance requirements
- clear points of contact
- flexible expandability

## Solution description

PrimeSoft developed SDEP, a web-based platform with a central database and the highest security standards. All data is stored in one place, eliminating redundancies and manual transfers. Communication processes run entirely via the platform, which greatly simplifies coordination. The modular design allows for flexible expansion and use in other cantons. The solution is scalable, secure and significantly reduces maintenance costs

## Project progress

The implementation of the SDEP was carried out in an agile manner and in close cooperation between PrimeSoft and the Zurich Health Department. It was based on a long-standing partnership that ensured a deep understanding of the requirements. Regular coordination and rapid iterations enabled the solution to be developed efficiently and provided expert advice on more complex functions.

> „PrimeSoft perfectly embodied the agile development method. We knew exactly what we wanted, and PrimeSoft implemented it quickly and efficiently. They provided us with expert advice on more complex features.“

*Stefan Neubert*
